What to know about HD PLUS Ceramic Block before you choose a configuration and place an order.
HD PLUS Ceramic Block is a zirconia ceramic blank for CAD/CAM dentistry, manufactured by Doan Huy Dental Plus Co., Ltd at its plant in Xuan Thoi Son, Ho Chi Minh City. It is made for dental laboratories and technicians who fabricate metal-free restorations on CAD/CAM milling machines or by manual milling.
Each blank is a zirconia disc 98 mm in diameter, packed in a 12 × 12 × 4 cm box together with a traceability kit: a lot label, the instructions for use and a warranty card carrying a QR code.
The choice of restoration remains the decision of the treating dentist.

Intended use
According to the instructions for use, the blank is intended for fabricating dental restorations on CAD/CAM milling machines or by manual milling. Blanks are processed in a dental laboratory or by a dental professional. The choice of restoration remains the decision of the treating dentist.
12-step workflow
- Fix the blank in the dedicated clamping holder.
- Start milling.
- Separate the milled framework from the blank and rough-trim it with a diamond disc.
- Blow the dust off the framework with an air gun.
- Stain the framework with colouring liquid and dry it under an infrared lamp (see the colouring liquid instructions).
- Place the framework in the furnace.
- Select the sintering programme and start sintering (see the sintering instructions).
- Remove the framework when the furnace has cooled to room temperature.
- Check fit and margins on the working model; grind and polish if necessary.
- Sandblast with 50 micron Al₂O₃ at 2–2.5 bar; clean with a brush and water. Do not clean with steam.
- The framework is ready for porcelain layering — select the porcelain and glaze to finish.
- The restoration is ready for try-in.
Scaling factor for design
Zirconia shrinks during sintering, so the CAD software must enlarge the framework by the scaling factor of the exact blank lot. This value is printed on the inner label of each box (sample label: 1.250). Enter the factor of the lot in use before milling.
Storage and shelf life
- Keep blanks dry, at room temperature and in the original box until use.
- The use-by date and date of manufacture are printed on each lot label.
- Per the instructions for use, 9 years is the estimated replacement period; no degradation is expected within this period.

QR warranty card
The card confirms that the restoration was fabricated from genuine ceramic blanks manufactured by Doan Huy Dental Plus. Scan the QR code on the card or enter the card number to check it; the laboratory or clinic activates the card when the restoration is placed. The warranty period is printed on each card and counts from the activation date.
Safety and notes
- The product is to be used by trained professionals as indicated by the dentist.
- According to the current instructions for use: no adverse medical-device incidents have been recorded and no contraindications have been identified.
- The sintering temperature and programme must follow the enclosed sintering instructions; do not apply parameters of other materials.
- Do not clean the framework with steam after sandblasting.
- Check the packaging, lot label and use-by date before use; do not use expired blanks or damaged packaging.

12 steps from blank to restoration

Milling and separating
Steps 1–3- Step 1
Fix the blank
Fix the blank in the dedicated clamping holder.

Mill
Start milling on a CAD/CAM machine or by manual milling.
When designing, enter the scaling factor printed on the inner label of the lot you are using.

Separate the framework
Separate the milled framework from the blank and rough-trim it with a diamond disc.

Remove the dust
Blow the dust off the framework with an air gun.

Where do I find the scaling factor?
It is printed on the inner label of each box (the sample label reads 1.250) and repeated on the edge label. Enter the factor of the lot you are using in your CAD software before milling.
How should the framework be cleaned after sandblasting?
